Navigator International Maritime Training and Assessment Center, Inc. welcomed Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) personnel, representatives from 6.09 & 3.12 training providers, and facilitators from the STC B.V. of the Kingdom of Netherlands last September 5 to September 7, 2016 as they have conducted the simulator-observation leg of the IMO Coordinated Task-Force Training on Model Courses 6.09 and 3.12.
The said program is a seminar-workshop undertaken by the MARINA STCW Office under the Joint Committee on Maritime Affairs (JCMA), the bilateral agreement of the Republic of the Philippines with the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It was the second batch of this year’s program which was scheduled August 22 to September 9, 2016. The first batch was conducted last November 2 to November 18, 2015.
Capt. John E. Hutchins (for the 6.09 modules) and Mr. Martijn Hendriks (for the 3.12 modules) were the facilitators for the second batch of the IMO Coordinated Task Force Training. And the participants were Josephine O. Castillo (OIC Examination and Assessment Division, MARINA), Pancracio O. Alfonso (Course Developer, Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific), Jose Louie B. Banua (Maritime Education and Training Standards Supervisor, MARINA), Ariel R. Raynes (Instructor, Philippine Association of Maritime Training Centers), Victoria Q. Paraggua (Associate Professor, Philippine Merchant Marine Academy), Junnard C. Hababag (Member of the Board of Engine Ratings and Maritime Education and Training Standards Supervisor, MARINA), Ninfa D. Martinez (Maritime Education and Training Standards Supervisor, MARINA), Leah A. Dumas (Maritime Education and Training Standards Supervisor, MARINA), Vicente C. Navarro (Maritime Education and Training Standards Supervisor, MARINA), Samie Lou L. Sedurante (Maritime Education and Training Standards Supervisor, MARINA), Rommel C. Lesigues (Instructor, national Maritime Polytechnic), and Samuel L. Batalla (Chief of Monitoring Division and Maritime Education and Training Standards Supervisor, MARINA). Also, Ms. Geraldine Villanueva and Mr. Herbert Nupla of MARINA were the coordinator for the training.
